Come and join us for a visit to the Kum Bak Yeon workshop where we will learn about the Korean technique of gold leaf imprinting on silk by doing a small project of our own. While we work on our project we will learn about the techniques and the history of gold leaf decoration in Korea.

The workshop is located in a traditional hanok in Bukchon and run by a family whose experience in gold leaf imprinting goes back five generations.

Project choices include card, bookmark, ribbon, or pouch (between 10,000-20,000 KRW). Payment is due in cash only, please.

If you have time afterwards, please join us for lunch at Baru, a restaurant a short strolll away from Bukchon that specialises in traditional Korean temple cuisine.

Signups are essential and spots are limited to 15 people. Please sign up below. Signups close 3 March.
