THIS HIKE IS SUITABLE FOR EXPERIENCED HIKERS ONLY.  THERE ARE SOME VERY STEEP UPHILL SECTIONS THAT REQUIRE CLIMBING OVER ROCKS WITH THE AID OF FIXED METAL RAILS.  THEREFORE WE GIVING THIS A ROUTE GRADING OF 3+/4 (GRADE 1 = EASY AND GRADE 4 = VERY DIFFICULT
 

Dobongsan is one of Seoul’s most dramatic and imposing mountains. We will follow a stream with waterfalls up to the Cheonchuksa Temple, the oldest temple in the region. As you approach the temple you will see an array of standing Buddha statues welcoming you. We will then continue up to the Madangbawi Rock which has stunning views across Seoul and the National Park before circling around and heading back to our starting place visiting several smaller temples along the way.
