Time & Location

20 Oct 2020, 09:30 – 12:30

Gwanghwamun Station Exit 3, 150-2 Sejongno, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea

About the event

We will visit 4 large book shops that also sell music, stationary, gifts, kids books, toys, etc and house cafes and restaurants as well.  Our first stop is Kyobo Bookstore in Gwanghwamun.  The foreign book corner offers numerous books written in various languages. If you can't find a specific book, you can place an order for delivery at the counter.  Our second stop will be a book store in the basement of Jongno Tower and our third stop will be a large JP bookstore across the street, taking up two floors.  These two stores have a less extensive foreign book section. JP is in the same building as a large Muji store.  Our final book stop will be Arc N Book, described as a cultural space shared by a bookstore.  The store is divided into four themed sections, Daily, Weekend, Style and Inspiration.  It's most famous for it's instagrammable arc of books that goes right up to the ceiling. It also has several cafes and restaurants.

If anyone is interested in coffee or lunch, there are plenty of options around, including one of my favorite poke bowl shops, Hooked.  There are also some fairly well hidden coffee shops nearby that we can tour.
